Colombia is the second-largest producer of coffee in the world and the largest producer of washed Arabica. It exports approximately 12.5 million bags annually and consumes about 2 million bags within its borders. Colombia is also unique in that – thanks to its size and varieties of terrains and microclimates – at every time the year, some part of the country is producing coffee.

Colombian coffee is graded depending on the size of the beans and beans picked from the same bush can end up being given difference grades. Supremo refers to the largest size of beans and they are slightly larger than the Excelso distinction.

This particular Colombia Supremo comes from the La Manuela Estate in the Region of Caldas, close to the small town Aranzazu. Colombian coffee makes a great all rounder and we take this to a medium roast level so it can be easily brewed in any brewing method. It is balanced with loads of chocolate, nuts and toffee and a strong body.
