About this coffee

This coffee is produced by the Ketiara cooperative, probably the only women-led cooperative currently trading coffee in Indonesia. -_- -_- The cooperative was first organised in 2008 by Mrs Rahmah and has now grown to become one of the most recognised coffee suppliers in Medan, the capital of North Sumatra. The cooperative is made up of 897 members in the Gayo Highlands, a mountainous area in Central Aceh that is largely covered in tropical forests and is home to a vast array of flora and fauna including Sumatran tigers, elephants and orangutans. -_- -_- The cooperative participates in the Fairtrade and organic certification programmes in the hope that this investment will result in increased quality and higher prices for their coffee.

Flavour

With bold intensity, dark chocolate and cacao flavours, Indonesian coffee is perfect for a darker roast. This is the darkest roast we do and the additional roasting time brings out the rich dark chocolate and spice flavours without becoming too bitter.

Postage

The postage charge on online purchases can be a surprise when you get to the checkout so we think it best to be upfront and let you know the costs before you get that far. -_- -_- If you live in BS1 / 2 / 3 / 4/ 5 / 6 / 7 / 8 / 9 / 13 / 14 / 15 / 30 delivery we offer free hand delivery. -_- -_- For all other postcodes we use Royal Mail first class which is not the cheapest option but it is the most reliable. We absorb as much of the cost as we can, but to absorb it all just wouldn't be viable for a business of our size. -_- -_- Our Royal Mail postal charges are £2.25 for an order up to 500g, £2.90 for orders between 500g and 950g and £4.95 for orders over 950g. -_- -_- If you spend over £25 shipping is free to anywhere in the UK.
Tax included.
